Wild Hope: Stories for Lent from the Vanishing is a book by Gayle Boss that features stories of endangered animals and encourages readers to reflect on their relationship with the natural world. The book is intended to help readers develop compassion and hope during Lent.

Life Groups at the Open Door
Life Groups offer opportunities for connection and spiritual growth, meeting throughout the year in various formats.
Format: A bi-weekly or monthly gathering over a meal with a consistent group of people, fostering deeper relationships, meaningful conversations, and a sense of community.
Focus: Build community through shared meals, discussion on faith topics, and storytelling.

Community Gatherings
Beyond Life Groups, Open Door offers additional gatherings that foster connection, reflection, and shared experiences.
First Friday Psalm Reading Group
When: First Friday Of The Month @ 7 pm
Lance Wolfe will lead a monthly Psalm reading, prayer, and discussion on the first Friday of each month. All are welcome.

Monthly Movie Group
When: Time, location, and film TBD.
Join Ryan Duchene for a monthly movie night, followed by a discussion focused on its theological themes. Details will be shared in church and on social media. Showtimes (typically between 6–8 PM) and locations near the East End (e.g., Waterworks, Row House, Waterfront, Manor) will be announced the week prior. Movie selection and ratings may vary. Open Door does not officially endorse the films, and we encourage parents to check the IMDB parental guide to determine suitability for children.
